“The Amazing Race” series has a very educational and eye-opening side to it. It takes its viewers to many exotic places around the world and provides some interesting glimpses into the foreign cultures found there.
Part of the show highlights how teams fail to cope under pressure, using this as a source of drama. These struggles and breakdowns could perhaps be made more compelling if teams were given more tools and training on how to handle challenging situations. Eg. how to handle frustration, how and when to go back to basics, how to troubleshoot, etc. The idea is that better equipped teams are more competitive. And more competitive teams will naturally lead to more drama.
